Dear reader,
As a flower blooming gently, yet, with great conviction under its own breath, so the eyes open to the whim of morning.
A white curtain hangs from a half-open terrace door, in a room whose walls are painted with childhood hopes and bare, human desires.
The wind, shy and restless as a lover who loves in secret, holds on tightly to the subtlest of scents it carries.
One escapes.
It flees through the summer fields, under the eye of thought and the barriers of what-should-have-been, and arrives here.
It smells of honey.
A car passes on a road forgotten by the world, and cast away into the memories of only those who have walked on it.
And, in the heart of a summer afternoon that chases the sun away, and with it, all fears and anxieties of not being whatever others might expect one to be, Alex Turner softly sings.
It's summer.
And no matter how many times we have met it, there will never be another meeting place, like this, today.
This week on A RAY OF SIGH I will be sharing my dearest pieces from THE POINTERS FOR EXPLORATION SERIES - on mental health, the importance of physical exercise, the miraculous mysteries of the microcosm and the macrocosm, and of course, love and the ways in which we allow ourselves to explore it.
"Our heart never fails to guide us, but we have to aid its call. This is what being balanced means – to be able to dream, but at the same time, be deeply grounded in the physical. This is how creation happens. When we have uncovered a part of ourselves, we mustn’t neglect it. We must work at it. Whether it’s something we want to achieve, something we want to change, or someone we want to love – discovering it opens the door to its manifestation."
Also available now on A RAY OF SIGH are a couple of sweet new releases:
* A revisit of our past shared weekly letters, * A STRAND OF HAIR THAT YOU SEEM TO HAVE *This month's selection of photographs.
now published and available to read FORGOTTEN ALL ABOUT
as blog posts. Morning came with a crispiness
In the air today,
It caught the birds by their songs
And took them dancing by my window.
Until the next letter, I am sending you love. Yours, Meri
