THE ART OF MUSIC

Last Night in the Bittersweet
When Paolo Nutini released his album Last Night in the Bittersweet in 2022, 8 years after Caustic Love (April 2014), it was a great time for music.
Starting with the title and flowing into 16 tracks of Paolo's raw, poetic, and melancholic expression, the album made me feel like I was standing in the wind at twilight in spring - hopeful and romantic, yet fleeting and sad.
3 years down the line, and it still has that effect on me.
It's a beautiful piece of music.

"Romance.
I think every artist speaks about how special a record is to them when it is released - and when they do, we are often trying to discern their level of sincerity, and if it's just for furthering themselves down some stream of success that they've found themselves in.
I would then instead like to say that today is not about our record - it is about our love and appreciation for each other, our families, our friends, for our crew we hold so dearly, for our new management, label, everyone we work with, for our inspiring fans, and most of all - for Trevor Dietz."
